Mission Statement: Each treasure is made with joy and fun, because that energy will be with you when you wear these special accessories. invites you to share in the dance of life with its expressive jewelry designed by creative and caring hearts, hands, and imaginations. My hope is that you or the person you are sharing your treasure with get as much pleasure wearing my pieces as I have had making them.
Where do
any great ideas come from? Dreams, friends, a love of jewelry, belly dancing
class on a balmy spring night? What started off as girlfriend asking me if I'd like to go
with her to a bead show and learn how to make jewelry has turned into a passionate desire to
share the joy of beads. Then came the turning point one night after belly dance class six
years ago with my sweet friend Gina. I was dreaming outloud in the car about making the world
a better place one bead at a time. Gina mentioned to her husband that I was looking for a
name for my dream company. David, being an all around great thinker, came up with the name in
honor of us being shimmy sisters of dance.
And as Ralph Cramden said, “And away we go!”
Over the past 6 years since Dancing Stones was born, it has been a joyous journey of arts and
crafts fairs, DIY events, private parties, and the support and enthusiasm has been nurturing
to my soul. I've discovered more and more people who believe like I do, that small acts of
happiness can make a big difference in another person's life. My hope is you or the person you
are sharing your treasure with, get as much joy from wearing my pieces as I have had making them.

Stacy is
the owner, beader and merry maker of .
She was encouraged by her mother to follow her dreams, so after getting a journalism degree
from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, she set off to experience the big world around her.
Over the years, in no particular order, she's been busy doing the following: singing,
playing guitar and writing songs for a comedic singing duo which toured in New York and performed all
over Chicago, studied and taught the art form of improvisation, landed a fantastic job working with
brilliant minds at a university (Hey, I'm a Virgo, I need to be creative and have structure.), fell
in love with her husband Jeff during a session at his recording studio (by the way, he is also an
amazing guitarist) and started playing clubs and coffeehouses with him, discovered the beauty of cooking and
baking, started freelance writing again (Studs Terkel is a god!), and did some traveling at home
and abroad (everything tastes better in Italy). Of course, for the past 6 years she's been
honing her beading skills and reveling in the colorful and creative world of jewelry making!
Stacy believes Life is for living and as Melanie Griffith said in the film “Working Girl”,
“You never know where the big ideas will come from.” It's important to keep an open
mind and fill it up with all the knowledge and experiences life offers.
